Mallon & Lonnquist attorney Craig Watrous was recently accepted as a new member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Ethic’s Committee for 2013-2014. 

The Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee is a standing committee of the Colorado Bar Association, staffed by approximately 90 Colorado attorneys, existing for the purpose of giving ethics advice to Colorado attorneys. The Committee answers written requests for ethics advice. The Committee also issues Formal Ethics Opinions concerning topics of general interest. 

The Ethics Committe meets on a monthly basis and is staffed by Colorado lawyers and judges who are appointed for one year terms.  The Committee prepares and issues Private Letter Opinions and publishes Formal Opinions on questions of attorney professional conduct involving the application of the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct.  The Committe also fulfills educational functions such as continuing legal education, seminars on ethic’s issues, the publication of articles, and other related activities.
