Denver business lawyer Craig Watrous will be serving as a guest judge for the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center’s “Trout Tank” business plan competition on Tuesday, September 15th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. For more information see: http://www.denversbdc.org/programs/trout-tank
This Shark Tank inspired event provides Colorado entrepreneurs with the opportunity to vie for funding from local lenders, angel investors and venture capitalists. Why Trout? Well, there isn't an ocean in Colorado, and we're not quite as harsh as sharks. The Denver Metro Small Business Development Center and Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce community, known as the home stream, host the event three times annually to bring together entrepreneurs, the fish bait, who pitch to a school of 30 lenders, investors and venture capitalists. While only a handful of entrepreneurs can compete, each Trout Tank is open to the public, allowing audience members to learn from the experiences and pitches of a few.
The Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) serves dedicated entrepreneurs who want to strengthen their path to success. Utilizing the powerful partnerships of the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Denver Metro SBDC has been a cornerstone of the business community for over 25 years.
